Buster Keaton broke his neck? Yes. And you get to watch him do it. He actually didn’t realize it at the time, and only found out years later. While performing a stunt 12 feet in the air with a 10 inch water spout and the force of a railroad water tank, he lost his grip due to the force of the water pressure and it dropped him in a hard fall to the ground. He landed on his back with his neck across the rail with the water pushing him down. He left the set with a headache but was back filming the next morning.
